Dragoș Pîslaru suggests forming a minority PNL-USR government if PSD does not gather a majority / "Bolojan is the best solution for Romania"

Dragoș Pîslaru, the interim minister of Investments and European Projects, stated that he does not rule out the possibility of forming a minority government made up of PNL and USR, in the event that the PSD leader, Sorin Grindeanu, fails to obtain a parliamentary majority.

“In the conditions in which Mr. Grindeanu, in his wisdom, realizes that, after he has turned the country upside down, he actually has no alternative to form a majority, surely, I believe we can already look at Ilie Bolojan to come back as prime minister and lead this country on the line of necessary reforms. I think this is very evident.”

Pîslaru emphasized that Ilie Bolojan remains 'the best solution for Romania' and supported the continuation of the reforms initiated by the current Executive. He stated that if Grindeanu cannot form a majority, Bolojan could be prime minister again, considering that this scenario is feasible and constitutional.

“And I believe that this scenario is a feasible scenario. It is, in fact, also constitutional. It is Mr. Grindeanu's mandate to form a government, we wish him success.”

Pîslaru encouraged Grindeanu's efforts to form a government, but reiterated that, in the absence of a majority, Bolojan would be the best choice to lead the country.
