President Nicușor Dan states that he has no information regarding the involvement of AUR leader, George Simion, prior to the decision made by the administration in Washington to remove Romania from the Visa Waiver program.

"I do not have more information than you do, especially on this matter, but what is relevant, in my opinion, is that the same Romanian politician thanked, about 8-9 months ago, the United States for removing us from this program and, furthermore, that the same politician, with a large delegation, was not received by anyone in the United States. This is relevant for the credibility that these people have internationally." said Nicușor Dan, at the end of the informal meeting of the European Council.
