President Nicușor Dan discussed, on Digi24, the case of the murder in Cenei, where two 15-year-old teenagers and one 13-year-old were involved in the killing of another 15-year-old boy. He emphasized that this situation reflects broader issues affecting young people, such as drug use and lack of belonging to a community. Nicușor Dan stated that Romania is not the only country affected by these phenomena and highlighted the need for an adequate strategy to address these issues. He also mentioned that the 13-year-old, considered the planner of the crime, cannot be held criminally responsible due to his age, but the state must take provisional measures to protect the victims. He acknowledged that, although progress has been made, there is still much work to be done to integrate young people into society and reduce drug use.
