USR Deputy, Alexandru Dimitriu, initiated a law that allows the complete confiscation of money borrowed from loan sharks, recently promulgated by the President of Romania.

The new regulation, which amends Article 351 of the Penal Code, allows for the confiscation not only of interest but also of the amounts borrowed from loan sharks. The initiator of the law, Alexandru Dimitriu, emphasizes that loan sharks are criminals and that this measure is essential for deterring abusive practices. Deputy Stelian Ion argues that the law will help protect vulnerable individuals exploited by loan sharks.
