The new regulation, which amends Article 351 of the Penal Code, allows for the confiscation not only of interest but also of the amounts borrowed from loan sharks. The initiator of the law, Alexandru Dimitriu, emphasizes that loan sharks are criminals and that this measure is essential for deterring abusive practices.
