Barbu emphasized that the PSD does not need to merge the elections and that other priorities now. He also denied the existence of negotiations with the PNL on joint lists for the elections. Sunday's meeting in which PSD and PNL leaders were supposed to negotiate the election merger was postponed, most likely for Wednesday.
