In a conference, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and Deputy Prime Minister Dragoș Anastasiu presented plans to streamline state-owned companies, with a memorandum to be approved at the next government meeting. The European Commission and the OECD will be consulted to amend legislation. Anastasiu highlighted the significant losses recorded by many of the 1,326 public companies. The proposed measures include reducing the number of board members, capping remuneration and speeding up the reform of state-owned companies. De-bureaucratization measures are also planned to support company performance.
