The Minister of Labor, Petre-Florin Manole, has announced that work is underway to manage the criteria for disability certificates more efficiently, given the increase in the number of certificates issued for the same conditions. He highlighted the existence of fraud in the system and proposed transparency measures to make doctors involved in these practices accountable. He also launched a national campaign to detect undeclared work, initiated in the construction sector, to ensure that employees are paid fair wages and to combat unfair competition.
