The president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, stated that there is no common history between social democrats and Nicușor Dan, who was a political adversary, but he acknowledged that Dan understood his constitutional role as a mediator. Grindeanu emphasized that if Nicușor Dan were to support a party, he would violate the law. During a press conference, he mentioned that Dan had a political career marked by confrontations with PSD, but he managed to assume a neutral position.
Additionally, Nicușor Dan pointed out a lack of support from PSD for the coalition government prime minister, highlighting a deterioration of the collegiality necessary for the effective functioning of the coalition. Grindeanu reaffirmed that the president must remain impartial in his political activity.
