Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of the PSD, declared on Sunday evening that if the party decides to withdraw political support for Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, the consultations at Cotroceni should take place on Tuesday or Wednesday. These consultations are necessary for the president to be informed about the wishes of each party.
Grindeanu acknowledged that he had recent discussions with President Nicușor Dan and with Prime Minister Bolojan, but he did not provide details about their content. He mentioned that the meetings are normal and that he discussed his vision regarding the political situation.
Additionally, Grindeanu announced that on Monday there will be an internal referendum for the 5,000 party members, and the question will be established during the meeting of the National Permanent Bureau scheduled for that morning. This will address the direction that PSD should follow.
