The Greek conservative government has announced a plan, developed in collaboration with Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Austria, to create return centers in Africa for migrants whose asylum applications have been rejected in the European Union.

The Greek Minister of Migration, Thanos Plevris, mentioned that technical teams from these countries will meet to discuss the details of the plan. These centers are expected to accommodate migrants who cannot be repatriated to their countries of origin due to their refusal to cooperate. The plan aims to be finalized before the European Parliament votes on a new regulation regarding repatriations, which could facilitate the creation of these centers.
