Dragoș Anastasiu emphasized the need to reduce Romania's budget deficit to below 8% by the end of 2023 and to below 6% in 2026, noting that the current situation is the result of inefficient spending on salaries and pensions. He suggested prioritizing the construction of hospitals and schools over other projects such as stadiums. Anastasiu emphasized that Romania must respect the commitments made three years ago, with the aim of reaching a 3% deficit in the long term.
