Former President Traian Basescu said that the declassification of the information on the annulment of the second round of the presidential elections was a mistake, because the documents had no probative value, but only contained assumptions. He emphasized that those notes are not elements on the basis of which to decide to annul elections. Băsescu noted that the decision to declassify the documents was taken by the Supreme Council for Homeland Defense (CSAT), not by the president alone.
