Petrișor Peiu, the leader of the AUR senators, stated that his party will not support a Government of which it is not a part.

The leader of the AUR senators emphasized on Wednesday that a Government needs a parliamentary majority to be invested, stating that AUR will never support a Cabinet that it is not part of. He mentioned that if political leaders respect the promises made before the motion of censure, forming a majority will be difficult, and any created majority will be fragile. Peiu explained that a Government must obtain the vote of at least 233 parliamentarians to be validated, similar to the situation with the motion. He also specified that AUR was not invited to the consultations at the Cotroceni Palace for the formation of a new Government, which was not expected given the president's communication.
