The General Mayor of the Capital, Ciprian Ciucu, met on Tuesday with the mayor of Sector 4, Daniel Băluță, to discuss the modernization projects for Bucharest, focusing on the investment at Piața Unirii. Ciucu emphasized the importance of collaboration between sector mayors, regardless of political affiliation. During the meeting, the Urbanism Certificate for 20 km of bike lanes in Sectors 2, 3, and 4 was signed. Additionally, a Zonal Urban Plan (PUZ) was discussed for the unification of tram lines at Piața Unirii and the creation of pedestrian passages between the metro stations. Ciucu mentioned that experts are evaluating the technical feasibility of the pedestrian passage, and discussions with Sectors 3, 4, and 5 will continue for the arrangement of the Splaiul Independenței area. Sector 4 will designate a representative for the street furniture affected by the PMB works, and other investment projects are in preparation.
