In an interview, Ilie Bolojan emphasized the need to increase the number of contributors to the health system, given that there are 6.3 million contributors and 16.5 million beneficiaries. To address this situation, a 10% tax will be introduced on pensions over 3,000 lei and mothers will be required to contribute during the child-rearing period. Bolojan explained that we can no longer be a country of exceptions and that it is essential to ensure the sustainability of the healthcare system.
