Expert Cosmin Păcuraru points out that only 25% of electricity consumption is traded on the OPCOM market, the rest is opaque
In a NewMoney.Talks podcast, energy expert Cosmin Păcuraru pointed out that before the price cap, 90% of electricity was traded through OPCOM. Now, only 25% of consumption is traded on the regulated market and 75% is traded outside it, without transparency. Electricity generation is dominated by state-owned companies, with Hidroelectrica having the biggest share. Păcuraru emphasized that the lack of transparency affects the understanding of the market, as ANRE is responsible for publishing this information.
