Two police officers from Argeș are under investigation for corruption and extortion, accused of forcing a managing director of a pharmaceutical group to promote a relative to a well-paid position. They allegedly demanded €120,000, cell phones and a car, using a fictitious criminal file as leverage. One of the officers has been detained and is to be brought before the court, while the investigation continues with the support of the Special Operations Directorate.
