The Ministry of Finance has issued green bonds worth 10.8 billion lei for ecological projects and plans public-private partnerships to attract investments.

Alexandru Nazare, at the CES ESG Conference 2025, emphasized the importance of the green bonds issued by the Ministry of Finance, which total 10.8 billion lei, dedicated to non-polluting transport projects, wastewater management, and adaptation to climate change. Romania will collaborate with international financial institutions and will explore public-private partnerships to stimulate investments, needing technical assistance from American partners to develop these initiatives.
