The incident on August 26, when a delivery person from Bangladesh was assaulted by a young Romanian, prompted a reaction from the embassy, which thanked the Romanian authorities for their swift intervention and solidarity. The embassy emphasized the importance of Bangladeshi workers in the Romanian economy and encouraged the community not to be discouraged. The aggressor, who filmed the attack, was placed in preventive custody for 30 days. The embassy reaffirmed the excellent relations between Bangladesh and Romania.
