The Court of Accounts has approved the referral to criminal prosecution after an audit at Transelectrica, identifying irregularities in the granting of bonuses and delays in investment projects.

The Court of Accounts' audit of Transelectrica revealed significant irregularities, including the granting of special bonuses and salary bonuses without justification, totaling almost 29 million lei. It also found delays in the implementation of investment projects, without penalties for delays. The Court recommended remedial measures and referred the irregularities to the prosecution authorities. Transelectrica said it will continue to cooperate with the authorities to correct the non-compliances.
