The European Commission is to announce measures that will see energy-intensive industries benefit from temporary electricity price cuts as part of efforts to revitalize the industry. The rebates will apply for up to three years, but no later than December 31, 2030, and will cover a maximum of 50% of the average annual price. Industries will have to invest in the green transition to qualify for the aid. The regulations will also allow support for nuclear and renewable energy projects.
