A sports teacher from Targoviste has been remanded in custody for rape, accused of having sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old student

The 36-year-old sports teacher and coach of the volleyball team has been detained after police launched an investigation into allegations of rape of a minor. It is suspected that between August 2024 and April 2025, he allegedly had sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old former student, part of his team. He was remanded in custody for 30 days, according to the decision of magistrates in Targoviste.
