Sorin Grindeanu, interim president of PSD, said at the reception of the Giurgiu Port Project that the Danube must be navigable all year round in order to capitalize on the investments made. He mentioned that European funds were essential for these projects and emphasized the importance of the Fast Danube initiative, which has been blocked, but now seems to be on the right track. The €37 million investment in the Port of Giurgiu includes the modernization of the quays to ensure year-round access for ships, thus generating jobs and facilitating trade.
