Several cafes in Bucharest and Cluj have banned the use of laptops at weekends, due to customers spending hours without ordering.

The practice has become increasingly common in European countries, with some venues banning laptops altogether. In Romania, restrictions are in place in several cafes in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca in response to the growing number of digital nomads working from such spaces.
