Hunedoara County Council has announced the reopening of the Roman Amphitheatre at Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa, completing conservation and restoration works through a European project. These works included securing the structure, restoring the vestiges and fitting out the stage, allowing visitors to experience the monument in conditions close to the original. The project, worth 22 million lei, underlines the importance of cultural heritage and collaboration between specialists. The reopening was marked with free admission and guided tours, bringing to the fore a symbol of Roman history in Dacia.
