PSD has issued a statement defending Marcel Ciolacu's government, rejecting accusations of a "heavy budgetary legacy". The party points out that the budget deficit was 7.1% of GDP when it took office, caused by loans from previous governments. The PSD says that half of the recent borrowing was used to roll over old debts and that, despite the difficulties, they have made significant investments. The party will propose measures to reduce privileges and work for responsible economic management.
