<p>The Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe has decided to send an observation mission to Romania's presidential elections, scheduled for May 4 and 18, in response to concerns expressed by USR MP Iulian Lorincz about foreign influence, especially from Russia. Lorincz stressed the need for guarantees for a democratic process free from outside interference, in the context of the previous annulment of the elections. The OSCE mission will include long-term and short-term observers, as well as monitoring of online media, given the recent activities of fake accounts promoting anti-European messages.
