Oana Zoiu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, led Romania's delegation to the IAEA General Conference, where she highlighted the role of nuclear energy in the transition to low carbon emissions and its applications in medicine. She promoted Romania's candidacy for the IAEA Board of Governors and discussed nuclear cooperation with officials from the USA and Canada. She also addressed the impact of the war in Ukraine on regional security and the importance of monitoring elections in the context of external interference.
