Capital City Hall will submit for approval strategic projects to modernize public transport, with an estimated funding of 385 million euro.

At the CGMB meeting on July 30, 2025, the City Hall will propose projects to modernize public transport, including the purchase of 100 clean trolleybuses and 250 new trams. The projects, worth a total of €385 million, will be financed from EU funds. It is planned to extend the tram network and modernize existing depots. These initiatives aim to increase the efficiency, comfort and safety of public transport, contributing to a cleaner and more accessible Bucharest.
