The former president of CNAS, Lucian Duţă, sentenced to six years in prison for a bribe of 6.3 million euros, will be released after the High Court accepted the appeal in cassation and suspended the execution of the sentence. The court has set the appeal to be heard on October 29. Duţă must comply with certain obligations during the suspension, including appearing in court whenever summoned. The conviction was the result of corruption acts between 2010-2012, when he received bribes from software companies.
