The police have opened an investigation after a 66-year-old man died following a fall down the stairs of the Reșița County Hospital, caused by the breaking of a step.

A 66-year-old man died in the premises of the Reșița County Hospital after falling from a staircase that broke under his weight. The Reșița Municipal Police was informed about the incident on 15.09.2025 and has opened a criminal case to investigate the circumstances of the death. The body has been sent to the Forensic Medicine Service for an autopsy, which will determine the exact cause of death. The investigation is coordinated by a prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office next to the Reșița Court.
