Holy Spirit Monday, also known as the Month of Pentecost, continues the feast of Pentecost, dedicating itself especially to the Holy Spirit. This day emphasizes the importance of the Holy Trinity in salvation and the work of the Spirit in the Church. The faithful bring branches of linden, walnut or other plants to church to be blessed, seeing them as symbols of protection. There are also superstitions that forbid hard labor and recommend avoiding isolated places for fear of unclean spirits.
