The General Directorate for Fiscal Anti-Fraud (DGAF) has uncovered a fraud of more than 5 million lei at a company in Bucharest, which declared fictitious purchases of services from eight ghost companies. These firms did not report the transactions and the taxes due. Thanks to the digitization and processing of RO e-Factura data, the DGAF initiated checks which led to the identification of this tax evasion. The audited company corrected its accounts and declared the taxes due. ANAF underlines its commitment to combating tax evasion.
