According to the Report on the State of Justice in 2023 published by the Superior Council of Magistracy, the number of judges working in the courts has steadily decreased, reaching a decrease of 15% between 2021-2023. The highest caseload is recorded in Ilfov, Galati and Prahova Courts, which are also facing a shortage of magistrates.
