Environment Minister Mircea Fechet said that the pollution situation at the Praid salt works could have been prevented at low cost. He pointed out that recent interventions have led to an increase in chloride concentrations in the water, affecting the treatment plants. Fechet warned of 24-48 hours of high salinity values ahead, which could cause fish mortality. He will also notify Hungary about the pollution wave heading towards Nădlac. The minister emphasized the need for collaboration between institutions to manage this crisis, believing that people's wrong actions are the main causes of the problem.
