Firefighters from Tulcea are battling a forest fire that has been affecting the Danube Delta for 10 days, supported by helicopters and boats.

The fire broke out on August 4 in the Ostrov Tataru area, affecting 55 hectares of forest and vegetation. More than 40 rescuers, with 15 land and naval means, are working daily to contain the fire, supported by Black Hawk helicopters. ISU Delta Tulcea emphasizes the dangers of burning dry vegetation and urges the population to take responsibility to prevent similar tragedies.
