Avram Iancu crossed 556 kilometers between the Rhine and the Danube, becoming the first man to traverse a continent by canoe.

The World Open Water Swimming Federation has officially ratified the performance of Avram Iancu, who swam 556 km on the Rhine–Main–Danube river route without a wetsuit. Iancu covered a total of 4,448 km in 177 days, thus becoming the first person in the world to achieve this performance, earning the global distinction 'Triple Crown of Rivers Stage Swims Challenge'.
