The incident took place in the parking lot of a supermarket in Bacău, where two men tried to kidnap a 29-year-old woman. The main assailant, accompanied by an accomplice, was stopped by bystanders. The two suspects, aged 27 and 46, fled, but were later identified and captured while trying to reach Bucharest. Police have opened a criminal file for attempted deprivation of liberty and judicial sources confirm that the 46-year-old man is the woman's husband, who is in the process of divorce.
