The Patriotic Electoral Bloc of Socialists, Communists and the Heart and Future of Moldova, led by Igor Dodon, was successful in Gagauzia, where it obtained 82.35% of the votes, and in Transnistria, with 51.02%. In contrast, the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) only had 3.19% in Gagauzia and 29.89% in Transnistria. However, despite these regional results, the Patriotic Bloc categorically lost the parliamentary elections at the national level.
