Today officially marks the end of the electoral campaign for the parliamentary elections on September 28. It is the last day that parties and candidates can organize meetings with voters, distribute informational materials, and conduct electoral advertising.
Polls indicate a tight race between the pro-Russian alliance led by Igor Dodon and PAS, the party of Maia Sandu. The difference, as in previous elections, could be made by Moldovans living abroad.
The Action and Solidarity Party, the pro-European formation supported by President Maia Sandu, has 24.9% of the voting intentions according to the latest poll. Close behind is The Patriotic Bloc, >a coalition of pro-Russian parties, credited with 24.7%.
