The CEC firmly reacted to the accusations of the mayor of Chișinău, Ion Ceban (photo), who claimed that ballot papers were stolen during the local elections of 2023. Representatives of the Commission stated that the images presented by Ceban do not reflect reality and are an attempt to manipulate public opinion. The CEC emphasized that the elections were held in conditions of transparency, with adequate monitoring.
