Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), a global leader in semiconductor production, has announced that it has begun mass production of its 2nm chips, an advanced technology that reduces the size of transistors to two nanometers. These chips, scheduled to be available in the fourth quarter of 2025, promise to significantly enhance performance in the field of artificial intelligence, thanks to their high density and energy efficiency. TSMC supplies chips to major clients such as Nvidia and Apple, which are heavily investing in these technologies. Taiwan plays a crucial role in the semiconductor industry, producing over half of the global total and nearly all advanced semiconductors needed for artificial intelligence applications.
