People are increasingly discussing with chatbots, sometimes for many hours a day, and in the press, as well as among psychologists, there is talk of a new phenomenon. Although it is not officially recognized as a medical condition, "AI psychosis" raises concerns because it can cause a lot of harm.
This AI psychosis refers to the (increasingly numerous) cases in which people rely more and more on chatbots like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, or Grok and come to believe that something imaginary has become real.
