The study, titled 'Expression of stigma and inappropriate responses prevent LLMs from safely replacing mental health providers', evaluated five chatbots based on language models designed to simulate therapeutic conversations. Lead author Jared Moore pointed out that 'newer and larger models still show the same level of stigma as the old ones'.
