A new 'Mini SSD', launched by Chinese manufacturer Biwin, offers read speeds of up to 3,700MB/s and write speeds of 3,400MB/s in a case measuring just 15mm x 17mm x 1.4mm.

'Mini SSD' is smaller than a MicroSD card, but much faster. It achieves read speeds of up to 3,700MB/s and write speeds of 3,400MB/s over a 4×2 PCIe 4×2 connection, with 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options. The new storage format is designed to balance performance with size and is marketed for laptops, tablets, phones and cameras.
