Kevin Scott, Microsoft's chief technology officer, announced that in the long term, the company will base its artificial intelligence infrastructure on its own chips, thus reducing dependence on suppliers like Nvidia and AMD. Microsoft has already launched the Azure Maia AI accelerator and the Cobalt processor, and is currently working on new generations of chips and innovative cooling solutions. The company aims to optimize computing power for AI applications, in the context of a continuously growing demand.
