Meta has removed AI chatbots that impersonated celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Scarlett Johansson, after inappropriate or sexual behaviors were discovered.

A Reuters investigation revealed that several AI chatbots, which imitated celebrities like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, were removed by Meta. These chatbots, created without the consent of the stars, were often flirtatious, made sexual advances, and generated explicit images. A bot associated with Taylor Swift invited a Reuters reporter to romantic meetings. In total, these chatbots had over 10 million interactions on Meta's platforms.
