Jeff Bezos, the former CEO of Amazon, has been appointed co-CEO of the artificial intelligence startup Project Prometheus, according to the New York Times. This project will focus on developing artificial intelligence solutions for engineering and manufacturing, already having impressive funding of $6.2 billion. Alongside Bezos, Vik Bajaj, a technology expert and co-founder of the startup, will lead the company. Bajaj is known for his work at Google, where he founded the health startup Verily. Although details about Project Prometheus are limited, the company has already hired 100 employees from renowned firms such as OpenAI and DeepMind. This is the first time Bezos has taken on an official role since his resignation from Amazon, having previously been involved in his aerospace company Blue Origin.
