Google has signed agreements with Indiana Michigan Power and Tennessee Power Authority to curtail its artificial intelligence activities in data centers at the request of grid operators amid increased pressure on electrical infrastructure from AI-intensive use. The agreements are an important step in Google's 'demand response' program, noting that the partnerships will help integrate data centers faster and manage the electric grid efficiently.
