A strong G3 geomagnetic storm has surprised specialists, with materials from recent solar eruptions reaching Earth earlier than anticipated. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a warning, preparing the public for the additional impact of several coronal mass ejections (CMEs) from the sunspot region AR4274. The storm was generated by the rapid arrival of a CME, combined with a high-speed solar wind, resulting in intense auroral activity observed in Europe, Canada, and the northern U.S.

A solar eruption M7.4 on November 5 is expected to generate another CME, which will reach Earth soon, causing new geomagnetic storms. Geomagnetic storms can affect satellite navigation, radio signals, and power systems, but they can also generate spectacular auroras, visible at lower latitudes. Space weather physicist Tamitha Skov emphasized that the current forecast is favorable for aurora viewing, with the possibility of G4 level storms until Friday. The AR4274 region remains active, suggesting that other solar events could occur in the coming days.
